Get Paid $10 to review a website

Came across this opportunity where by reviewing a website and providing feedback about its pros and cons, you get paid $10.

The catch is that there are a glut of wannabe reviewers and not a whole lot of websites to review (yet?).

Anyway, you might want to check this site out. It's usertesting.com

A Hawaii writer's resource: Hawaii Publishers Association

For everyone living here in Hawaii, one of the things we're experts at is what it's like to live in Hawaii. We are experts about where the best place is to buy groceries, to get gas, to watch movies, to go for a hike. Name it, we're Hawaii experts of one sort or another.

Just think if we all had the gumption to write about our experiences. What stories we would tell.

And if at this moment you have a hankering to write about your Hawaii experience and perhaps make a buck or three for it, there are potential markets for your work.

A nice collection of links to Hawaii-based, Hawaii-centered publications has been provided by the Hawaii Publishers Association. I counted three dozen links to Hawaii-based magazines, 11 newspapers, 2 book publishers, and 9 "multi-title publishers."

A Tip on Generating Articles for Online Pay

As I have mentioned before, one way I make money from home is by writing articles for Associated Content. This morning, I alloted two hours of time to write articles. A strategy that I learned to use with some effectiveness is just to write and let the writing inspiration and juices flow. I don't stop to take notes or proofread or edit. I just let 'er rip.

If ideas for other articles come to mind while I am composing, I do stop to make note of these ideas. Today, that didn't happen, so I was able to stay focused and generate the two articles I had set a goal of completing.

I didn't the whole two hours to write the articles. I probably used an hour. The other hour I spent proofreading and revising the two articles plus two more I had composed yesterday. Plus, I used part of the second hour to post the four articles to Associated Content. BTW, if you want to know more about associated content, go here.

I hope to get at least $5 per article. Sometimes, I am offered less. Only a handful of times has an article I've written been flatly rejected. If one or more articles are really good, then I might get as much as $50. That has never happened before for an article I've written but there is always hope.

Freelance Writing Gigs

I haven't personally used this site. I did do a bit of digging to determine if it is a scam. Basically, what I found is nothing to indicate that freelancehomewriters.com is a ripoff. If you are interested, go to the freelancehomewriters.com site here.

I can speak from experience about associatedcontent.com. I've made a few hundred bucks writing for associatedcontent.com over the last few months. No, the bucks don't roll in. I make $4 or $5 for a 400-word article. But there is a pageview incentive program that basically can translate into $$ based on how many page views stories I write get. My monthly pageview income is at present is just $6 and change per month, but the word is that some writers at associatedcontent.com make hundreds in page view income a month. And this is on top of what they get paid for individual articles. If you are interested, go click the following link to find out more about associatedcontent.com and read some stuff I've written.

For anyone considering creating a website for a work-at-home business, I found this video link while browsing the net. I signed up as an affiliate. Am considering whether to take the full plunge with this company. The results look impressive. Take a look and see what you think.
